striving to do better

Wow! It's been some time since I last blogged.....I'm sorry. I've been moving into a new crib and the internet is not up and running yet. I am updating from ma'boy Richard's house.

Anyway, the running is going well. I'm mapping out the Lemoyne area (where I moved)and setting up my runs from there. It's been an experience since 90% of my running over the years has been either on a treadmill or down Front street in HBG. I've been reading some good books about marathons and (as always) looking for new things to incorporate into my training. Official marathon training starts July 19th.

I've been running 3 days on, followed by 1 day off, then a long run after that with a day off then I start the vicious cycle all over again. Most of the runs have been 3 and 4 miles with the long run getting to 5. This week I'll get to 6 for the long run. I think I'm in better shape at this point than I was a year ago when I started training for Chicago. I know a lot more about what I'm doing as well.

Motivation this time around is different then last time. last time it was about doing the impossible....whattaya do for motivation after accomplishng the impossible? (I hope) you plan to do it even better this time around. I think I just wanna strive for improvement......osn't that what we should all be striving for?
